Thursday, October 30, 2014. Liran Golod: Writing Home: on Leaving and Returning Home.
Liran Golod will read and discuss segments from her newly published novel Earthwork as well as discuss the role of literature as a creator of a new alternative path. The lecture will be accompanied by presentation of photographs and other images.Liran Golod recently came back to Israel after 7 years in New York, serving as Director of Literature and Visual Arts at Israel’s Office of Cultural Affairs to the US and Canada. Zeruya Shalev will read and discuss segments from her novel The Remains of Love.Zeruya Shalev has written five novels, poetry and children’s books. Love Life and Husband and Wife have been bestsellers in several countries. Love Life is included in Der Spiegel’s prestigious list of 20 Best Novels in World Literature in the last 40 years. Eran Riklis is one of Israel’s most acclaimed filmmakers, and has been working as a director, writer and producer for several decades. Offir Touche Gafla’s first novel World of the End (2013) has become a cult classic. He has written several other novels, including The Day the Music Died and The Book of Disorder, as well as short stories and scripts.
